The first week of May in Rhilshen marks the start of Summer and the Festival of Fire.

Throughout the realm, the Festival of Fire marks the purification of flame and hopes for a subsequently bountiful harvest. It is celebrated like most other religious holidays in the Morning Realm, adding bonfires to the usual blend of food, drink, dancing and song. Cities and villages are decorated with orange and red ribbons and flowers; at night, they glow with bonfires blossoming next to the incandescent flowers of kirvathayne-boughs. Even the smallest household will enshrine a branch of kirvathayne and light several candles to ensure the purification of the Elemental God of Fire and the blessings of the Goddess of Plenty.

The High Priestess of Rhilshen presides over the Festival of Fire in Aeshelm. In other cities, the festival is usually overseen by the local Priests or Priestesses of K'Thayn and Rien or Astaen and Illia.
